How to Book
All our private tours in Santorini can be ordered on request.
We are flexible with group size on our tours. In general, our tours are targeted to small groups consisting of 2-15 persons, but we will try to help also larger or smaller groups. Our aim is to provide personal, flexible and friendly service to all our visitors.

2) What does “a private tour” mean?
This is a private tour/activity. Only you & your group will participate.Please have on your mind that in this private tour you can ask for some changes that we can discuss before we meet or even on the spot.
We can even customise tours for holiday parties, family reunions, birthday celebrations and more!
3) How can I be sure that my reservation has been confirmed?
After making a reservation, you will receive a message that your reservation is being processed. Once the processing has been completed, you will receive a notification about the status of your reservation.
Processing can take up to a maximum of three hours.A reservation is considered to be confirmed only after you have received a confirmation e-mail.

6) If you’re a cruise-ship passenger:
You will disembark in Santorini by tender boats arriving only at the old port of Fira.
🚠 🚠 To find the exit of the cable car in Fira follow these steps:
- Take a tender boat from your cruise ship
- Once ashore, go to the cable car
- Pay a ticket of 10 Euros per person (one way), take a cable car ride up to Fira town (3 min.)
- Exit the cable car building.
- Behind the gate, our guide or driver will be holding an Santorini Tour Lovers sign with your name on it.
Only passengers arriving to Santorini in organized groups or those purchasing shore excursions on board disembark at Athinios port. These travelers get off the ship first. Everyone else is considered to be an individual traveler and disembarks only at the old port of Fira.
The donkeys arrive at a different place in Fira, not to the cable car exit.
✅ The stairs bring you next to the cable car exit but we strongly recommend using the cable car for your convenience.

A)The cable car of Santorini is a donation of the institution LOULA & EVAGGELOS NOMIKOS, in order to serve the locals and thousands of visitors all year around. Perfectly safe, consists of 6 wagons, capasity of 6 persons per wagon. During high season it runs every 20 minutes. The cost is 10 euro per adult and per way and 50% for children.
By walking
B)The famous 588 steps of the traditional road that connect the old port with the town of Fira. The walk is about 20-30 minutes, depending on your physical condition.
By donkey
C) The donkeys used to be the traditional transportation way of the island. They go up and down to the old port of Fira frequently. The price is 10 euro about per person (per way) and the ride lasts about 20 minutes.
⚠️ Cruise passengers are required to take the cable car from the port to reach the meeting point location for the tour. The old port of Santorini (where cruise ships dock) is not accessible by car.
Private transportation: Tour takes place either on a luxury air conditions mini van or an SUV.
If you need a car seat for your child, we can provide one upon request.
8) Can I bring my kids on my tour?
Yes we have lots of tours that allow children! The minimum age and child policy will be included in the tour description, and children under 10 are typically free of charge.

Please wear comfortable shoes will help you to stroll up and down the cobbled pathways(sport shoes / rubber sole) hats,
Suntan lotion and sunglasses should be your best friends throughout your tour.

This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or physical limitations, as it requires a certain amount of walking, with sites that are only accessible on foot.

13) What time does my tour start?
Time of your choice.
We suggest around 10am & and during hot summer days even earlier.
14) What if I am late or miss the start of my tour?
We recommend you allow plenty of time to arrive early for your tour, especially when you are in a new destination where transport can take longer than expected. Because we want to ensure our other guests can still enjoy their tour, all our tours start on time. If you know you are going to be late, please call us Mob. +30 6945830082.
15) Will tours be cancelled in bad weather?
We don’t want you to miss out on your tour just because of a little rain so most tours will go ahead in all weather conditions. However, if tours are cancelled under extreme circumstances, your guide will contact you to move your tour to another day. For that reason, please make sure your booking includes a phone number or email address where we can contact you while you’re travelling.
16) How do I go from the old port to the city?
The old port is accessible only:

Returns to original departure point or any desired point of your preference.
20) How do I paid for my private tour?
No, you don’t need to pay anything.
Reserve now & pay directly to your driver/guide, the day of your tour!
21) What if I need to cancel?
Why would you want to cancel?! Okay, no problem we know sometimes things come up, so we’ll let you cancel if you need to. But it will make us very sad. You can cancel your tour up to 96 hours prior to the tour’s start time.
22) Where is Santorini Greece on the map?
Santorini is a Greek island. It is in the South part of Greece, in the Aegean Sea, part of a group of islands we call Cyclades.
Located in the Aegean Sea, 200 km southeast of Athens, 150 km south of Mykonos, and 140 km north of Crete.
Santorini has a population of 15,500 and a land area of 76 square miles (a little bigger than Manhattan). The length of the island is 16 km and its width varies from 1 to 5 km. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from one end of Santorini to the other (i.e. Oia to Akrotiri).
Flights to Santorini take 4 hours from London, 3.5 hours from Paris, 2 hours from Rome, and 1 hour from Athens. There are no direct flights to Santorini from the USA, Canada, or Australia.
23) Is Santorini and Thira the same place?
Yes. Thira is the official name, Santorini is more of a nickname.
The capital town of Santorini is called Fira- not to be confused with Thira.
24) What does Santorini mean?
In 1204 AD Franks arrive to the island and name it Santa Irene after a local church. Over the years, Santa Irene turned into Santorini and this is the name we use today.
25) What does Thira mean?
Spartans inhabited Santorini as well. During their time here, they had a King named Thiras and thus the island was named Thira to honor the King. This remains the official name of Santorini till this day.The legacy of the Spartans can be found in the ruins of Ancient Thira.
26) Santorini island has an international airport?
Santorini has an international airport. It is about 15 minutes away from Fira (which is the main town of Santorini).
That means you can fly in. Since the airport is international, you can find direct flights connecting Santorini to most European countries (for the summer season).
In winter, you will probably have to travel via Athens.

Santorini is an island, so to get here you have two choices:
A. Take a ferry from Athens
B. Take a flight
28) Santorini how far is it from Athens?
Santorini is about 200 km (120 mi) away from Athens. That translates into about half an hour flight from Athens. The ferry takes about 5hours (the highspeed one).

If you are also coming on a cruise, my advice to you would be to go on a tour. This is really the best way to see Santorini in a day. You can choose private or semi-private depending on your budget, but this is the only way to see all the highlights.

Santorini is 120km (74mi) away from Mykonos. The ferry takes about 2 and a half hours.

37) Where to Swim in Santorini?
What are Santorini beaches like?
Santorini beaches are all made of lava. That means they have unique colors such as black, red and white but they mainly consist of pebbles. If you dream of dipping your toes in the sand, this is not the place. Also, most beaches are quite steep, so basically you take a couple of steps and then you dive into the water. This is why Santorini is not famous for the beaches.
38) What is Santorini famous for?
Santorini is mostly known for the dramatic cliffside, the breathtaking views of the caldera, the volcano, the white and blue houses (mostly blue domed churches), the amazing sunsets, the great wine and all things romantic. Santorini is a very famous destination for people in love. Couples, honeymooners, newly-weds, they love it here. You will too.
39) Santorini beaches near Fira?
Important thing to know about beaches on Santorini is that most of them are on one side of the island. This means there is no access to a beach if you plan on walking from Fira,Imerovigli or Oia.
40) How Santorini was formed? How did Santorini form?
The island of Santorini was made of lava and has changed shape many times throughout the years. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions have shaped the island into what it is today. The history of Santorini starts about 5 million years ago and is quite fascinating.
41) When was the last time Santorini’s volcano erupted?
The last volcanic eruption was in 1950. There was also a big earthquake in 1956 that left Santorini in ruins and made most residents leave.
42) How to get to the volcano in Santorini?
You will go to Fira, take the cable car or the steps down to the Old Port. From there, you get on a small boat across to the volcano. You can hike to the top of the volcano and then back.
43) Can Santorini be the city of the lost Atlantis?
Yes. Atlantis was a circular island populated by talented people of high culture and wealth, according to the Greek Philosopher Plato. Some people think it existed, some say it is only fictional. They all agree that it was a small paradise, but they cannot agree on its location.
Some say Santorini might be the Lost Atlantis and that is mainly based on its circular shape and the volcanic eruption. If Atlantis really existed there is a good chance it was where the Akrotiri excavations are today.
44) Is Santorini Island a safe place?
Santorini Island is one of the safest tourist destinations on the planet. The people of Santorini are warm, friendly, welcoming and take great pride in their Island. Where to go out in Santorini? Fira has all the bars and clubs. You will find very nice beach bars in other places as well, but if you want to stay out late, Fira is the only place that keeps partying until the early morning.
46) Where to shop in Santorini?
The main two shopping areas are Fira and Oia. You will find a few small shops in every town of the island, but if you want to have many choices, choose Fira or Oia. Also, there is no mall in Santorini.
47) Can you drink the water in Santorini?
No, you cannot. Only drink bottled water here.
48) How is the weather in Santorini?
Santorini has hot, dry summers and mild to cool, wet winters.July and August are the hottest months in Santorini, with an average temperature of 26°C/79°F.
December and January are the coldest ones with average temperatures of 13°C/55°F and 12 °C/54°F.
Santorini tends to get very windy, so bring a jacket just in case.
49) What is the name of the famous Santorini Wine?
